A Good Rail Is A Good Thing CNC machined aluminum freefloat hand guard from RetroArms, Czech Republic. And freefloat means that no matter how hard you squeeze the stick, it won't twist your beloved gun! RetroArms CNC machined rails are on the sturdier and lighter side. They offer a stable and durable attachment point for various accessories and, being quite thin, also provide a comfortable grip! The barrel nut sports a textured surface so that you can get a good grip on it when tightening. In addition, it has notches that allow it to be tightened with a wrench. Features: Absolutely light - weighs only 172 g!Rail itself and barrel nut both manufactured from aluminum with CNC machining. Length 191 mm / 7.5 inches. So it fits completely behind a traditionally sized M4 series gas block.Width measured with caliper 35.58 mm. Inner diameter 32.5 mm3.5 M-LOCK slots at three, six and nine o'clock - i.e. on both sides and at the bottom.A MIL-STD-1913 rail (Picatinny rail among friends) on top, length 15 notches. The front end is beveled on top. Also compatible with accessories using the metric STANAG 4694 standard. So this bad boy fits with practically all airsoft replicas. Please note, however, that there may be small differences in the height of the rail's front end and the upper rails of the receiver, if the upper receiver is for some reason out-of-spec. Fortunately, we have a long return and exchange right! It should go without saying that since these are intended for airsoft, any kind of experimentation in the world of firearms takes place at your own risk. In itself, the quality of workmanship and the strength of the materials are certainly enough, but you shouldn't stick a fork into an electric socket, even if it fits there. What M-LOCK? M-LOCK is an attachment system for accessories. Instead of the traditional RIS/RAS "quad rail", the M-LOCK system usually only has a fixed rail on top, and the sides and bottom of the handguard are full of openings where rail pieces or directly M-LOCK compatible accessories, such as grips, can be attached. The system is lighter than traditional rail systems, and more comfortable for the hand. KeyMod is another similar system, but M-LOCK seems to be more common. We don't know the exact reason, but at least in various tests, M-LOCK has been more reliable in staying put in the middle of abuse, and it seems to also stay zeroed better.
