With this AOE pad, you can correct the angle of engagement of the piston and the sector gear. Correcting the angle of engagement with a sorbothane pad is not so mandatory nowadays as most manufactures make their gearboxes reinforced. The benefit of these pads compared to sorbo is emphasized in High Speed configurations, and in easy installation, as the pad goes between the piston body and the piston head. No need to use super glue! Note! You might also need a longer screw for the piston head.
