Snipetor Flat Hop IR Patch for Lambda GBB and VSR-10 Barrels, 65

The benefit of Snipetor IR hop patch is the same as any other ECS/R-hop: by making the point of contact longer, BBs get a more even and stronger back spin without needing the hop-up to extend as far into the barrel, cutting into muzzle velocity in the process. At the same time, it allows one to choose the bucking with best air seal and feeding properties. Take note, that the R-hop requires a flat bucking and preferably also a longer tensioner nub to work really well. More of this in Installation part! Why laser cut? First R-hops were made by yourself, sparing no nerves or time. The fiddling did come with its own problems so keep up with the times and laser cut the patch to perfection! The patch is shaped exactly like the barrel cut-out window The patches are all uniform, so once the old patch kicks the bucket, installing is as easy as just dropping the patch in place without need to adjust other parts of a build A lot faster to install as the sanding and cutting phases are left out Choosing the degree and the shape Naturally, the shape you want is the one that matches your barrel, so with a Lambda AEG barrel a matching Lambda AEG patch and so on. Hypothetically it’s possible that patches would somewhat work with barrels they’re not designed for but we haven’t tried this. As for choosing the degree, apply the old but familiar wisdom: tougher degrees usually last longer and return faster to their shape after shooting. Softer degrees provide more back spin and work better (or longer at least) in cold. Features: The manufacturer recommends installing the patch with thin, clear tape and without glue. Tape installation has many benefits: No need for glue – enables installation even in field conditions and has no risk of staining the inside of a barrel No need for pegs to support the patch – no risk of scratching the coating of an inner barrel Slightly larger inner barrel circumference due to tape – enhanced seal Needs a flat bucking. This means you need a hop-up bucking with no traditional contact mounds or any other contact shapes on the inner lining. Usually the best result is achieved by choosing a good bucking and then removing the mound from it. We like to use Maple Leaf buckings. Needs a flat tensioner nub. A handy person makes their own but good off-the-shelf solutions are e.g. the Maple Leaf and the AirsoftPro hop-up levers. The Maple Leaf VSR chamber already has a flat hop-up lever inside! Pistoleros would do well to use the Maple Leaf I-Key. Installation with tape: Check out the installation video made by Snipetor himself below! Tradition upholding users certainly can glue their patch just like a traditional R-hop. We haven’t found any difference in either accuracy nor range between a good tape installation and a good glue installation, but by all means every build is different.
