Maple Leaf MR. Hop Hop-Up Bucking for GBB Pistols and VSR-10 Series, 70

MR in this context isn’t a title but an abbreviation for Maximum Range. This is achieved by working the same way as R-hop: the contactnub mound fills the whole barrel cut-out window forming a long and even point of contact for BBs. This gives BBs a lengthier but less tampering touch. This way the back spin is smoother and so both range and accuracy are improved! However, Mr. Hop’s excellent features aren’t limited to just the contact nub mound. Included is a familiar metallic ring, originally found in Transformer buckings, which prevents the lips of the bucking from opening under pressure. A slight groove on the bucking’s outside marks the location of the nub mound, which helps in making sure that the bucking is straight in the hop-up assembly before installing a tensioner or hop-up lever. NB! A regular round/cylindrical tensioner nub curves the contact mound so in order to get the most out of the bucking, we recommend using Maple Leaf’s own curved hop-up lever. A similar lever is also made by AirsoftPro. If a hop-up chamber with a traditional hop-up lever is used, Maple Leaf has a solution. With GBB pistols we recommend using an I-Key with the bucking. The degrees of the buckings The degrees of the hop-up buckings mark their compatibility with guns of different muzzle energies or power levels. In general, you could say: the more powerful the gun, the higher the degree. The manufacturer recommends choosing the degree of your bucking as follows: Degree and color Recommended power range 50 – green Less than 110 m/s (1.2 J) 60 – yellow 90-120 m/s (0.8-1.5 J) 70 – blue 110-140 m/s (1.2-2 J) 75 – red 130-150 m/s (1.7-2.25 J) 80 – black over 150 m/s (2.25 J) According to the experiences of our customers and us, the 60 and 70 degree buckings are suitable for GBB pistols and stock rifles. The 70 degree bucking is a bit better suited for more powerful stock rifles and lightly tuned builds, whereas 75 and 80 degree buckings are suitable for heavily tuned rifles. In cold conditions a softer bucking might work better. The compatibility of the bucking Maple Leaf MR hop-up buckings are compatible with bridgeless VSR-10 and GBB pistol barrels made with Tokyo Marui standards!
