SHS High Torque Motor 16 TPA, D-Type, Ventilated (Long)

SHS High Torque motor is great for its value for upgraded as well as stock guns. The motor is easily able to handle springs of over M150, as long as there is power in the battery, because it is equipped with neodymium magnets. In essence, this is the good ol' SHS High Torque motor, but with ventilation holes at the end of the can. Also the armature has small flaps, kind of like a turbine, that helps the motor to keep itself cool. The turns per armature of the motor is 16 TPA, which makes the motor relatively fast for a neodymium motor. The motor works great in high speed builds and improves the Rate of Fire compared to ferrite motors while reducing trigger response. With stock gears (18:1) that have 11.1 V batteries the ROF is close to 25 – 30 rps. Be careful with fast gears (12:1, 13:1, 14:1) with a 11.1 V battery, because the ROF gets so high that carelessly installed or poor quality parts might break down pretty easily. With this motor, a good-quality 8.4 V nickel battery is powerful enough to run your gun, but you will get better results with more efficient LiPo batteries. We recommend that you use a battery that has high discharge current with this motor.
